The Edgecombe County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help solving an armed robbery that occurred Tuesday at the Lucky Ducky at 131 Black St. in Princeville.

Based on video footage, suspects could be seen riding around the business in a black Nissan Altima prior to the holdup, the sheriff's office said Wednesday evening in a posting on Facebook.

One suspect entered the business, walked around the business and exited and a second suspect did the same thing, the sheriff's office said.

As they were walking in, a person appearing to be a man entered wearing a ski mask, a brown or black hoodie, gray sweatpants and red and black shoes, the sheriff's office said.

That suspect brandished a gun, demanded money from the clerk, exited the business and got into the vehicle, the sheriff's office said.

Law enforcement initially was told a suspect was running in an unknown direction and had set up a perimeter as the Tarboro Police Department's K-9 unit was contacted, the sheriff's office said.

However, the dog could not get a good track on any suspects, the sheriff's office said.

The sheriff's office also said in the Facebook post there are warrants on Tyasia Monae Ward regarding the case but did not provide specifics about how Ward is connected.

Anyone with any information about the case is asked to call the sheriff's office at 252-641-7911.

The sheriff's office said a cash reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
