The Associated Press state high school football poll for the week of November 6 was released on Tuesday, with another Twin Counties team finding its way into the mix alongside Southern Nash and Tarboro.

After beating Wilson Beddingfield last week and clinching the Eastern Plains Conference, SouthWest Edgecombe is the newcomer, making its debut at No. 9 in the 2-A poll. Elsewhere, Southern Nash, which beat Franklinton on the road last Thursday, jumped one spot to No. 4 in 3-A, while Tarboro remains at the No. 1 spot in 1-A with its perfect 10-0 record.

Tarboro and SouthWest Edgecombe will play each other this Friday in a rescheduled rivalry game.
