Rocky Mount police are investigating the theft of cellphones worth more than $2,000 that were stolen about 11 p.m. Wednesday from the Trade It store at 1150 N. Wesleyan Blvd.
Cpl. Brad Summerlin said authorities are looking for two black men between 16 to 20 years old. One suspect is described as having a slender build and wearing a gray hoodie sweat shirt, black cap, blue jeans and red sneakers. The other suspect was listed as being 6-feet tall, weighing 170 pounds and wearing a large orange sweater, black cap and an adidas track suit.
“They went into store and were said they wanted to look at some phones,” Summerlin said. “They were comparing phones. They then snatched four phones and took off running from the store. We were told they left in a maroon-colored sedan.”
